I mostly did blind contour on this paper, I’ll touch upon the continuous in the next post. Blind contour is sort of fun, makes me feel like a kid again. I learned that blind contour is not supposed to “look good” once you’ve finished, it is supposed to look however it looks. I had a very difficult time not looking at the paper and I’ll admit that accidentally cheated on the shoe drawing once or twice. It still looks terrible (but good for a blind contour) so I wasn’t worried and just forced myself to keep my eyes from the paper once I started the chair drawing up top. Just need to keep the size/dimensions proportionate for these kinds or else I won’t even know what I’m I’m looking at.
